Between Vercors and Provence,
from Crest to Die: travel upstream the river Drôme!
With its abundance of local produce, this region
reveals treasures which will make taste buds water;
its picodon (goats' cheese), its croquants (almond
biscuits), its famous Clairette (sparkling wine)
and its savoury herbs.
Lavender is grown on the mountain side at the
heart of Le Diois, where sheep-handlers and vineyards
for the sparkling Clairette de Die are plenty.
In this colourful rainbow of lines and colours,
outdoor enthusiasts can have their pick of activities,
with climbing, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking,
paragliding, horse riding and of course thousands
of walks at their convenience.
In summer, you can also relax to the cool jazz
from the Crest Festival or sing Mozart at Saoû.
