Rivers and lakes, where to swim ?

From its source, at Batie-des-fonds, in Hauts Diois, the Drôme river unwinds 130 km to its confluence with the Rhône, crossing remarkable sites such as the Claps de Luc, the Diois vineyard, the Glandasse mountain, the Trois Becs, the Tour de Crest and finally the Ramières Nature Reserve.

Without particular difficulty, with a regular current which limits the efforts, the river is ideal for the practice of the canoe or the kayak with routes of 6 to 45 km. When the snow melts or, after heavy rains, clearer waters are preferred by thrill seekers who practice rafting and hotdog (2-seater inflatable canoe) or even aquatic hiking. Wiser and quieter in summer, it then takes on the air of a seaside resort and welcomes on its banks many summer visitors who polish their tan and enjoy swimming in its calm and cool waters.
