Olive and olive oil from Nyons

All the characteristics of the climate, the soil (soil), associated with the variety, make it possible to obtain a particular olive. To this specificity is added the ancestral know-how of men in terms of culture and mode of preparation. The oil with the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée ensures a preparation without chemical or preservative and constitutes a real guarantee of quality.

Lavender and lavandin

30% of French lavender comes from Drôme.

Lavender offers a wide range of scents and colours in the Drome: an invitation to discover the landscapes of Provence, in a lavender decor nuanced from the soft green of spring, from the violet of summer to the silvery shades of autumn

Truffles

The celebrated 'black diamond'

Le Tricastin is the home of French production of the 'Tuber Melanosporum', or black truffle (60 % of national production). This celebrated 'black diamond', once very common and widely enjoyed, is now a rare delicacy served only in the best restaurants

The Saint-Joseph AOC Wine

The Saint-Joseph AOC extends over twenty-six communes on the right bank of the Rhône, distributed in a narrow ribbon of terroirs for about 60 km, along a north-south axis.It is therefore not surprising to note a relative diversity in the typicity of Saint Joseph. The appellation links the AOC condrieu and côte-rôtie in the north, and the cornas in the south. On the hillside, facing the slope of the Hermitage, the vineyard is planted on land of granite, gneiss, micaschists, supported by walls. It is the origin of soft or strong and powerful red wines according to their origin, and racy white wines.

The Croze-Hermitage AOC Wine

North and south of Tain-l'Hermitage, the crozes-hermitage vines surround the appellation hermitage. In this vast, relatively flat area, the area of the vineyard, growing, is now practically equivalent to that of the peach trees. The different geological outcrops bring a certain diversity to the wines;the syrah grape reigns supreme in the fruity red wines, while the marsanne, great varietal of the whites, produces fresh wines and pleasant to drink.

The Hermitage AOC wine

North-east of Tain-l'Hermitage, on the left bank of the Rhone, the Hermitage vineyard clings to a magnificent steep hill where the names of famous merchants, such as Jaboulet or Chapoutier, are inscribed.Already famous in Roman times, it owes even more its fame to a legendary knight who, back from the Crusades, would have retired near the chapel of the Hermitage and planted vines there. The syrah gives birth to fabulous red wines of guard. The white wines are also able to evolve for several years. The AOC also provides confidential volumes of straw wine.

Sweet sparkling wine 'Clairette of Die'AOC

Here, in Drôme, the Clairette de Die is an institution! It is an effervescent wine of Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée from the vineyards of the Drôme valley. This sparkling white wine with the fruity aromas of Diois is unique in its kind, as it is made from muscat.

The orchards of the Clairette de Die, located at about 700 meters above sea level, are cultivated between the banks of the river on one side and the Vercors massif on the other. The vines thus benefit from a Mediterranean-type climate.
The Clairette de Die is appreciated at cool temperatures between 6° and 8°. Preferably, as an aperitif to accompany foie gras and hors d'oeuvres or during dessert in combination with a fruit salad, pie or sorbet.

Markus : Val de Drome craft beer
